Hey Fred

Yes the handi kit was just a kit to hold the attachments in. Electrolux in Canada did have a variety of optional accessories that didn't seem to be available with the US models, a lot of which came from the English / Swedish plants. The seat chests were made by Chatham Fabrics in Chatham, Ontario for them. They also made chests for Compact, Filter Queen and Kenmore (And a few others I cant remember).

If you think Electrolux Canada had some wild colours you should see the colours the European Electrolux's came out in at that time. Bright Blues, Greens, Reds, Yellows, Tans, Oranges etc.

Here is a photo of a current eBay listing for a supposed "Model B28" (although on the bottom of the machine it indicates 'B20') Floor and Rug Conditioner that appears to match the Canadian cranberry series. Did it succeed the BX10 in the series, or did it match another series? Interestingly, it resembles the later Model 2101s that were sold in the USA along with the Hi-Tech 2100s. L-Es, and Diplomats.

I almost forgot ... thanks for the information, Doug.

I'm unfamiliar with the English and Swedish cleaners so will have to search them out sometime to check out those groovy colors of the '60s and '70s!
