Hey guys - just looking for some opinions here; I'm preparing to buy a new cleaner, since my parents, left to make the decision on their own, bought an awful Morphy Richards cyclonic thing I can't stand (loud, bulky, poor pick-up on carpets, ultra-crap tools!). My Panasonic Icon's getting on a bit (very under-rated cleaner, and if it was still on sale, I'd get another one...but since they're not...) I've narrowed the selection down to either:

- Sebo X4
- Sebo Felix
- Miele (not sure which model - just whichever one I can find at the best price, preferably with a electrobrush)
- Dyson DC14/15/18, (again depending on price...I've hated Dyson in the past, but apparently the latest models are much more reliable, and have 5-year guarantees. Also bearing in mind abuse in average homes contributes a lot to their short life-spans, which wouldn't be an issue with me!)

Any thoughts on which I should get? I'm tending towards the Felix at the moment....although once I start my new job, I may get some or all of the others at some point, and see which I get on with best!

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer!

Hmm...

Hey Jack

Firstly I wouldnt touch anything from Dyson- the 5 year guarantee dosent alter the fact they are still way behind anything else you are considering in the reliability stakes - the guarantee will defiantly be needed lol!!.

Other than that anything else you are considering is a pretty safe bet- if you want a cylinder with a powerhead you also need to consider Sebo - cheaper than Miele and on par in performance and quality :)

Catch ya on msn later if ur about ;)
