For the second time in my life today, I saw an upright vacuum at Goodwill. In fact, there were 3! Usually there is only hand vacs, and the only other upright I have seen was an Elite. As soon as I walked in, I looked to the back right of the store, and ran so fast towards a Hoover Decade 800 complete with bags, belts, and all of the attachments! I rushed it so fast to the front of the store! I got it all for 12 dollars! There was also a Windtunnel Lite and a Dirt Devil Vision. But of course, I left those. I walked this thing over a mile to where my dad was at, and got lots of dirty looks from the people driving by=]. When I got it back to the truck, I gave it a good inspection. It only has two small scratches, and those are the only flaws. The underside is VERY nice, and the brushroll looks new, but only sounds okay. The bags it came with are also neat, they have two Elites and a Convertible on the package, so they must be from the 90's. And according to the serial number, this is a 1990 model. I am really excited to get this cleaned up tomorrow afternoon! Sorry the picture is kind of bad.

wow great find

here the goodwill store NEVER has any vacs and if they do its bagless junk w/o tools etc

That's a great find. Does this model have the slide down surge switch? I am glad the attachments came with it. I never feel that I have a complete vacuum without the attachments.
