Thanks Les! That does shed some light on things. I also know where my wide bodied, aluminum-bottomed emtor came from. Like I said in the intro of that thread, this machine is a real Johnny Cash 'one piece at a time' unit. And now that it is all restored, I will leave it the way it is. :o)

I do have a good liking of the red and did not want to put too much into this machine, so that was the reason for leaving it mostly as is. I did change the nozzle bumper from brown to red to match the other red trim. However it does looks more 50's than 40's.

You have aluminum emptor bottom. That and red is one of a kind. I might do new 510 I got for $10. It has black trim but the back wheels are narrow ones from 3 or 4c. But I might trim that in red not to copy you but red looks damn good. I also have a red sanatronic bag it looks like green bag but is red it's no Johnny Cash but it will dress up nice.

I was thinking toy car myself when I saw those, lol! But, hey - they worked!
You know the color combo on yours is not bad. The only thing that sticks out is that black cord. Brown, green or grey would be just right!

Ya cord doesn't fit. Maybe I can find bojack parts blue on Grey since I love cowboys. Something to think about.
