I recently went on vacation to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to go to Dollywood, shopping, sight seeing, and you guested it, thrifting. NO LUCK, at any Antique Shops, but I did go to one resale shop I eyed last year. There was a Dirt Devil Original HandVac, two Bissell Spot Lifters, Black and Decker Hand Vac tools (looks like the Oreck or Kirby Vacquette?). And a Kolbenze Carpet Machine. I got the Dirt Devil tools, with the box and unopened manual for 3 dollars. I was checking out, when I asked the guy if he had any old vacuums in the back. He said no, but I do have one right to your left that you missed. I felt so foolish, but it was dug up under clothes. It was a Kolbenz "The Carpet Machine" He said it had been in there for years, and it had only 20 dollars on it, so I got it for 15. It works very good, and has 3 speeds.

Nice Finds

Nice Koblenz, I like the blue finish, I have the Kenmore version in chrome,it's kinda pitted from being in the garage, I use it when I get a few spots on the carpet that won't come out with just resolve and elbow grease, these do a great job,I go back over the area with the Bissell Big Green straight suction machine with just hot water in it to rinse the carpet, I have the DD hand vac also, very handy for furniture and does a great job.
