Have a great time in Omaha, and tell Greg I said hi!

I'll be waiting breathlessly to see what the next installment of photos brings.

You Tell Greg:

He is one lucky cuss!

I have eight complete places of the stuff now, but the tab was a leetle bit more than $36.

I wish I could nab some serving pieces here locally - getting those off eBay is no bargain because of the shipping cost.

A a a a hem

Let's get this thread back on track.  OK Sandy - got home today and met with some good progress.  Last week I came home to this over the master bath door.  Says loud and clear - keep out.  The floor was under construction and not to be walked on.  First down the heating materials.  Not sure how they installed the tile since you can't walk on these pads or risk breaking the electrical connections.

Here are

The heating panels.  That's the thermostatic sensor over the pad.  This system senses the temperature of the floor as well as the ambient temperature of the room.  Definitely need heat where you step out of the shower in the morning.

Great Progress!

It looks like things are proceeding pretty well; thanks so much for the update and the new photos.

I not only like the tile, it'll protect those precious heating elements from Helen Lawson's stilettos!

BTW

The furniture is starting to come in.  Here is the former living room sectional recovered and moved to the media room.  Cocktail table, lamps and console behind it are being changed and most of the tchotchkes are going.  Still some work to do.

Close Up

This upholsterer does a good job!  He did those pillows.  The pillow material is what is going on the kitchen furniture as well.  All the kitchen furniture got picked up when this was delivered.  Now I don't have anything to sit on in the kitchen.

Moving Right Along

Shower tiling is well underway.  This will be enclosed in a frameless glass enclosure.  Now to pick out the right wall color.  The granite shower seat will be the same as the vanity counter top.

Moving Right Along

The shower is almost done.   Had to get the walls up to have the glass guy come to measure for the frameless glass shower enclosure.  Now to pick out a paint color for the walls.  What do you think?  The lighter shade in the tile or  the darker?  I'm leaning towards the lighter.

As I squeegee my shower every day, I've wondered if there's any way to hook up a blower to help dry the shower walls and blow the water down the drain. the vent fan could run an hour and never get rid of the water.

Modern air tubs have blowers to blow the water out of the tubing to prevent mildew growth. With the clear glass doors, seems like you have to either squeegee the glass or get water prints. Seems like someone should have invented something by now to automate the cleaning of shower stalls. At least the grout has gotten better to inhibit mildew growth.

Nice remodel.

I've heard good things about the Arm & Hammer product "Clean Shower" -- it's a wetting agent that works like JetDry. Spray it when you're done showering and voila!
