I was just wondering if anybody (especially those who were at the convention) got to see the new Tacony tandem air canisters. What did you all think?

Did anybody take any pictures that they'd like to share? Does anybody have an anticipated launch date as of yet? Just curious.. Can't wait!

I thought the word on these is that they were supposed to be available by now.Well,in the meantime I am making my OWN tandem air canisters by using my Volt powernozzle with the ones I have.

I've seen it

I don't have any pictures, but I think it will be worth the wait. The nozzle is very quiet, actually quieter than the volt I think, and the canister motor is already very quiet. Not sure of the launch date, I'm sure Tom will let us know when they are available. I really hope they create a universal central vacuum power nozzle with this design, that would be awesome. In the mean time, yes, the volt will turn any canister in to a tandom canister, and it is very good at this.

Well

From what our manager told me while placing an order today, the deluxe (stretch belt) models will be shipping out this week, and the premium (V-belt) in July maybe August. I'm impatiently waiting for a premium

life time belts

I would also wait for the better belt, with the availability of cogged and serpentine belts, there is really no reason to use a rubber belt anymore. There are several power nozzles that use long lasting belts that you can adapt to work with canisters, the Centec nozzles, and the nozzles made by Sebo, Lindhaus and Wessel-werk.

Belts

I think it's ridiculous that a Canister in that price range uses a stretch belt at all. The model below the Tandem Air Deluxe, uses a non tandem air nozzle but has a serpentine belt.

The Tandem-Air canisters have so many backorders, the factory worked on Friday. This is highly unusual, as the factory works 10 hour days. They have their 40 hours in by Thursday afternoon. To pay that many people to be at work for 10 hours of Overtime, is a huge expense. But, there are so very many backorders from dealers, the company made that decision.

I love the new colors (white for wonder/black for prima) that the Tandem canisters are made in. The new cartons have excellent art work and graphics on them.

The two tandem-air nozzles differ in more than just the belt. The same wooden brush roll with the new white bristles (same as used on the new Cordless ".2" models) is used on the standard nozzle. Belts should last a good long time. The premium nozzle uses the steel brush roller and the lifetime belt

The Vacuum Collectors Convention debuted the new Tandem-Air canister to the collectors. They all put it through its paces with sand in the rug. Bags of white sand actually. The disposable bag in the Wonder weighed more than 10 pounds after the Convention weekend was over.

Just an FYI - we were using the Premium nozzle.

The airflow all around the soleplate is extraordinary. The nozzle cleans like a dream. It's slightly taller than a regular Simplicity full size nozzle, but the out-of-this-world airflow is what really makes it a pleasure to use.

Wooden Brushroll?

The spec/lineup sheet from the dealer website said the tandem air deluxe has a steel roller with a stretch belt....well....definitely not getting that one.
