Yes. The first 1205 still had the original PN1 with the long plastic wand, as did the white and tan L. I'm not sure about the dark turquoise L but assume its power nozzle changed over at the same time the 1205's did.
Obviously, the reason for the change was because so many of the plastic wands started breaking. Even when they were new. The plastic material was not sturdy enough to hold up against vigorous use and would start cracking and breaking at the bottom. Of course, when people used the power nozzles as they were supposed to, making "slow, easy motions, letting the power nozzle do the work" as the instructions advised, not a one of them would have broken!
Does anyone have the first-first-first version of the PN1 that does not have the spring-locking end? I don't think I've ever seen one, just heard about it. That was a problem that the company apparently caught very quickly (that the hose handle would slide around and even slip out), as the spring-lock was added very early on.
