First, I want to thank all of you who gave me suggestions as to what could be wrong with my sanitronic 7 I picked up and am working on. But I d have another question. I'm trying to get the front half of the case off, I've taken all screw out, but it won't budge. Is there gasket material between that front half and the motor case? Or what could be holding it on so tight?

There is supposed to be a gasket around the outside of the fancase. I was taking apart a 560 and the fancase was stuck I put my fingers in the fancase and pulled when I could finally put a screwdriver in the seam and pry it open I found that there was a bunch of mold holding it together from the inside.

Thanks,

PS. Ill see if I can find pictures and post them below

Yes, you need to remove the plastic top of the power switch first. It just pulls off.

There is gasket material holding the 2 halves of the fancase together. There should be a small slot at approx. 11 o'Clock on the fancase where you can put a flathead screwdriver to pry the 2 halves f the fancase apart.

Make sure that when you put the 2 halves back together, to scrape all the gasket material off with a knife or razor blade, then reapply new gasket material all around the front half, then carefully press the 2 halves together before putting in the screws.

Thank you

Thanks for the help guys, yeah I was having trouble getting that fan case off and I wasn't sure if that was just "crud" holding it togeather or actual gasket material. I'm glad it's the gasket stuff lol.
