This is the double brush nozzle for bare floors and rugs came with the 2nd version concave barreled Roll-Easy (1959/60?) and other GE vacuums, in matching colours. The 1957 Roll- Easy and GE Reach-Easy tubs came with the flip-over floor nozzle, also molded in matching colors.
The rollers are wood and the brush bars are angled toward each other on springs to move up & down in their guides on the push-pull. What appears to be O-Ring 'tires' on the rollers are in fact a lathed part of the solid wood dowel...to ride over bare floor grit rather than push it ahead.
Is/Was this tool very effective? Im assuming not as effective as a motor driven brush roll,,and probablly not very good on deep shag, or deep pile carpeting, but OK on short nap,low pile?
I like those GE rug tools my favorite one is the next version called the Twin Clean, it had no rollers, but had slots to pull air in around the brushes.
