Just read an old press release from March 2018 that says that Electrolux and Midea have agreed to create a joint venture to bring AEG-branded products to the Chinese market. Must have been part of a package deal that sold the North American Eureka division to Midea.
I imagine this means that a consumer in Shanghai will be able to buy an Electrolux UltraOne canister vacuum branded as AEG but made at a Midea plant. Which may mean that North American consumers will be offered Electrolux UltraOnes made in China at a Midea plant. Or maybe we’ll see UltraOnes from China branded as Eureka.
This is getting far too confusing for me. :-D
