So, I wandered into my local Goodwill the other day and there it sat-A Sunbeam Model 12c Chrome Mixmaster. It must have been one of the first ones as it had the 135 watt motor and the newer ones had a 150.

I had a mixer collection, but when I moved last year I got rid of it.My 12C was in rough shape, so it went too. This one I picked up is in great shape and runs perfectly. It even had good beaters. I have bowls for it, so it is ready to use.

This was always one of my favorites. I now have the 12 c, it's follow up, the model MM200, and it's follow up the 1-80. I use these mixers more then my Kitchen Aid. I love the small bowl option, plus they bring back so many memories.

If its one of the first ones..

Originally it used glass bowls, the stainless bowls didnt come out until later.

Hans.....

Can you tell me or show me what the original stainless steel bowls say on the bottom?

Hi Louis,

They just have the Sunbeam logo embossed in the bottom, and Made in USA.

The reason I am asking...

...is that the small SS bowl that "came" with the chrome model 12C says, "Sunbeam" but the larger one just says made in Indonesia, so I am wondering if that is a replacement bowl. I also noticed that the glass bowls for this same model seem to work better with beaters that came with it, too! The bowls seem to go faster for some reason unless it's just my imagination.
