I received a Miracle Mate Platinum a few weeks ago and finally got to check it out the past few days and it just does not seem to have a lot of suction, I heard that Miracle Mate vacuums were supposed to be powerful but it cannot be proved with the one that I have.
All the filters and bags are new and the vacuum itself is clean and there are no clogs....Is there something else I should check?
Just for comparison I have a TriStar DXL that was going to the trash so I took it and cleaned it up....It is out performing the Miracle Mate, and so is the Dyson that I have been using (with the stretchy hose and attachments. I am almost thinking I need to go back to a Filter Queen.

I am using TriStar bags (the Envirocare branded ones) but I also took a piece of cardboard and made a gasket so the lid would seal correctly. It does not feel like there is air leaking around it but it is hard to tell with the side exhaust ports blowing forward.

Is there a name I can ask for or should I just ask for The Kirby Kid (LOL)
I am on my way out the door to help my neighbor that is moving so when would be a good time to cal (or not).

Thanks....I'm Dan by the way

Rich......Huge difference now!!! I thought that I could make the top but by the time I thought of it I had already made the o-ring, I wish I tried earlier because the difference is just amazing.

Somewhere (not here) I saw a post that someone was claiming the Miracle Mate bags did not flow as well as the TriStar ones...I thought it sounded funny, I am pretty sure that the guys at Miracle Mate are selling the bags and filters that make their system work best.
