any thoughts on how to get them out.i've got them soaking in 3in1 oil.putting the screwdriver in the screws & hitting it with a hammer hoping to jar them loose.so far nothing.might try a thin punch on the edge of the screws & try to break them loose.if nothing happens guess it will just be put back together.

Do you

have a socket set with screwdriver bits like these? This might give you a bit more leverage.

i will get something together tomorrow.the bits i have will fit in a small socket so i'll give it a try.thanks for the idea.

Using a thin punch to work the edges can sometimes break the corrosion or thread seizure, and applying penetrating oil repeatedly may help loosen them further. If the screws are part of a component with bearings, such as a wheel hub or machinery housing, be careful not to damage the bearing surfaces or preload, as that could compromise function when reassembled. If all else fails, partial disassembly or careful drilling out might be necessary, but keeping the bearings intact should be a priority to ensure smooth operation afterward.
