It looks llike an Alto Attix 8. If it is made by Alto it will be good. I bought an Attix 12 5 years ago, and it is an indestructible workhorse, not that I would abuse it, mind you. They're good German engineering.

Looks nice. A different looking take on a shop-vac for sure

Ill stick with my rigid. I need something with a BIG hose diameter. I find that if a shop vac doesn't have much of a hose diameter, it doesn't work well for what I use them for.

I do have a Ridgid which is a beast, but I do like a nice well made refined machine. :) The Ridgid is not bad for the dollar though - I went through 2 Shop Vacs before I decided I did not like them.

My first one the motor had bearing noise out of the box and it's motor burnt up in the first year of me owning my house. I then upgraded to a "bigger" model and it too had a less than acceptable motor for the $100+ I spent on it.

I got the Ridgid which makes quick work of cleaning up the 2-3" of caked mud / sand / gravel from under 2 cars in the garage each winter. I also used it for at least 20 hours of sanding in my basement finishing project with a Kirby Turbo Sander. Since the motor is bypass cooled, it never overheated, and believe it or not, I only had to use 2 bags for the entire project. The first bag was so heavy with drywall dust I tore it trying to lift it out of the tank. The motor has excellent airflow and suction at the hose end is nuts with the big hose on it.

I wonder if you can replace carbon brushes on a Ridgid motor?

LOL. Interesting story!

Had no idea they made bags for rigid machines. Which model do you have?

This one is close to the one we have.

Dont know if I can ever go back to anything else!
