Stick Vacuums

I am interested in purchasing a cordless stick vacuum and have decided on either the Hoover Linx or the Electrolux Ergorapido 1030a. Both are powered by an 18 volt lithium ion battery and have great reviews. Has anyone out there had experience with either of these two stick vacuums?

Also considering the Perfect stick vacuum. It is advertised at 80 inches of water lift. Pretty good for a stick vac.

Input is greatly appreciated. It would be great to have a quality stick vacuum for quick clean ups rather than take out one of my full size cannister vacuums.

You should also consider the Black and Decker rechargeable Pivot Vac. It is highly rated for both surface carpet cleaning and bare floor cleaning by Consumer Reports.....

Electrolux

Ron and I have the previous model of the electrolux called the pronto 2 in 1 and we really like it. It's great for those quick pickups or a quick run through the living room if company is coming. The battery charge lasts a good while and the ability to take the vac part from the brush roll is great if we see a bug or stray piece of dog food )

I had the pronto 2in1 and I sent it in for the exploding battery recall. They sent me back a 12v ergorapido that was okay on carpet compared to the pronto, but wouldn't charge! So then they sent me the 18v ergorapido. We have two Labrador retrievers and a cat, and low pile carpet. It surface cleans most of the hair and stands the fringe up somewhat but not greatly. I really like it, but if I had the money because of how much carpet we have I would get the linx.

Also on all the lux's you need to go a little slowly on the backward pass on carpet to get a semi deep clean and not make the lightweight nozzle bounce off the carpet, the back of it will catch a high spot and do this.

Electrolux Ergorapido 1030

<span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; color: #0000ff; font-size: medium;">Thank you everyone for your input.  I have decided that the Electrolux Ergorapido 1030a is the cordless stick vac for me.  It seems to be more versitile than the Hoover Linx and will best suit my needs.  I only need it for quick pick ups and not for daily cleaning.  I use my Miele for that.</span>
