I had a trip today at Stark's Vacuum at Grand & Burnside, and as usual the museum was the place to be for the older stuff.

Among other things, there were a bunch of Kirbys all dating from before 1945. Among the Royals were a 1977 model 602 upright (with a Stark Special blue twill bag), a 1970s/'80s Stark-branded 401 Pony tank, and two 501 hand vacuums, one a 1989 model (with a missing belt, brush roll and rug plate) and the other a circa 1980 model which had the three missing parts intact.

One of our best conventions was held in Portland. I truly enjoyed Starks. They are very customer oriented and believe in the products they sell.

Dave Olson did a fantastic job that year organizing and planning.

They are local and the 4650 Starks/Royal was of course from them originally that I bought a few years ago for 25 bucks.
They used to redo the hose for us on the Royal 413 we have too but they can no longer get the hoses and parts.
I've never been to any of the stores but sister used to go to one in Gresham for bags and services.
There are a lot of them here and on the West Coast so many on Craigslist, most kinda expensive but some for great deals like mine.
