Spencer & Spencer Vacuum

New here all, so hi to everyone. I hope someone can help me here.
I have a Spencer & Spencer portable vacuum that I have had for 20 years.
I would say it to be a canister? It still runs great!
I can't seem to find any info of any kind about it.

You Can Still!

Get the hose and attachments for Spencer stuff, Mike Hays has a Spencer outlet installed in his house hooked to two Beam two motor central vacs, and has just about every attachment you can imagine, they are all cast aluminum and extremely well made!..Those two units hooked together pull well over 100 inches of waterlift, something like 125 or so and the airflow is unbelieveable!

super cool!!!that is the same type of Spencer vacuum I used at a Wash DC workplace-gov't building.Their machine used to be used with disc cutting machines-sucked up the cuttings(machine for cutting --records)Then it was used as a portable shop vacuum when the disc recorders were retired.It was a great machine-don't know what happened to it-probably surplused-wished I could have gotten it.Replaced the motor brushes in theirs once-high quality machine-and it looks so much like a small spencer organ blower!

Looks like a Multi-Vac Jr. (or perhaps Sr. - hard to tell) based on this ad, which I think is from the '40's or '50's.

I'd love to see more pictures, and a video of it running would be a real treat!

Hopester saying thanks!

I just like to say thank you to all who gave me the info on the Spencer vacuum. I will try and dig it out by this Friday. I'd like to try and sell it, not a clue were to start. Maybe you guys can let me know were I can. My boss passed away last March, and after 20 years of being a Vacuum & Sewing Tech. I'm now unemployed,and homeless. If I can sell the Spenser (and other antique ones I have) I could pay my storage and not louse every thing. Sorry! Thanks for the ear.I will try to post that video by Friday. Oh!
