hey guys i havent posted in a while but ive been faithfully reading as always :) im soooo jealous of many of your finds haha. Well i have a couple of vacs to sell as i got them from random places with the intention of cleaning them up and playing with them for a bit, and then re-selling them, but i thought i would post them on here before CL or ebay as that seems to be the norm. so here they are...
i would be willing to trade for a traditional eureka upright or a miele canister w/ power nozzle instead of money if desired

The first is a kirby classic, that all original, but was one of the first kirby i tried to take apart, and i screwed up the motor pretty badly while trying to get the fan off (which i never did, and broke all the blades off the original metal fan). but it would be great for parts!

Hoover Celebrity 2 (where the heck does hoover put their model plates omg?!)- great condition and has manual, but the power nozzle has the wrong belt in it so thatll need to be changed

lastly... #5

Eureka model 1680 A (easy to to find model plate- one reason why eureka is better than hoover ;) )
good condition, plug replaced, and the only tools i have are the straight wands, crevice tool, vibra beat, and hose.

How much are you asking for that hoover floor a matic?

I'll check with my mom as I do live with her. But I do want it.

Also, I can trade you a traditional eureka upright as well if you prefer.

Regarding the Kirby, did you try turning the fan the other way first to "crack" the thread to loosen it?

I presume by screwed up motor, you damaged the armature? can't be as bad as when I spun the commutator in my G5, snapping every single wire in the process.... :S

I can't buy it, wrong country, I'm just curious about it... :)

twocvbloke...

haha yes the armature. and i have tired everything i could think of to get the fan off i dont know...its probably something really simple that i am just missing

Hi,
Is the celebrity canister and dial-a-matic still for sale, if so what are the prices? Thank you. Does the dial-a-matic have a headlight?

Thanks again.

Hoover celebrity

I'm intrested in that vac or Eureka canister vac.

btw, the Floor-a-matic's data plate is under the unit (where brushes go in)
