they want me to go to Colorado or Arkansas for service? Really.

In the olden days when Wendel Houser was the local Rainbow man, you were treated with respect, because he wanted to see you again to buy deodorizer, have your machine serviced, trade in for a newer model, and be your neighbor.

Times have changed, now they care about the sale and be gone. At least we have Two Kirby distributors in Wichita where you can walk in and have factory authorized service, buy bags, belts.

This coming from a NEAT FREAK

and I can assure you, they are not filthy vacuums if used properly. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I think of it as my GOOD vacuum too, but I use it more than two or three times per year. I think I use it on average at least once per month and sometimes more...

Luckily, I have berber and it's so easy to pull behind me, plus the 30 foot hose lets you leave it parked and you can go high and low all over without having to move it.

I think this is all about the office, and frankly that is going to be the make or break of it in any situation.

I don't mind going and delivering a non pressure sales pitch. My wife has asthma. I bought my E Series Rainbow for next to nothing. It works great or I'd never have signed up, my wife benefits and unlike the Dyson she can empty it without me being around.

I know there are going to be the polar opposite, get the sale at all cost quota offices. If the local office has survived 20+ years doing it then I'll go along with it.

In think the build a relation with the customer is a better idea. Buy it now, come in for service later, we're there for you. Obviously, despite price, this is a more attractive propositition.

I just know even if I was spending a large amount on a vac that if I had a service dept. with 25 years in the business I wouldn't care as much.

RainbowE2B/E2 Gold

Just wanted to write a post on here as I have read all of your posts for some time and decided to join. I am a complete Rainbow loyal 100% I just purchased a Rainbow E2 Black with a manufacture date of 2/14. There are a few major upgrades they did to it with the new PN and the electric auto shut off for accessories. I really love it, traded my 2011 platinum for it and I also have a 2006 E2 Gold, first model with acoustic foam. Hope to keep reading more posts from you all!
