Hi Tommy,

I absolutely love your collection of Dial-A-Matics (convertibles). I love the dark green/mint green model, and also the battleship gray. It's too bad they weren't produced in those colors in this country. They should have had a longer production run. I like them way better than the Concept line.

Wow, what a great collection! It's always interesting to see overseas versions, love all the colors that we didn't seem to get over here, and those modern juniors are great looking machines!

thanx

thank you guys, that is only a part of my collection.
To Mike:
what you see behind the juniors are three tornado, true Tornado, not Vorwerk with Tornado name, that could be found in switzerland.
I will take some pictures of them the nex time I go there!
have a look at Tornado's web site, there's an english version:
I have the MAGIC ONE,1998, TO/7,1976; To/6,1965; TO/5, 1956.

Floor Tool on the Constellation

Tommy,
Amazing collection! Thanks for showing it to us. I was wondering about the floor tool on the Constellation. Is that a flip over design with one side for rugs and the other for bare floors?

I could be wrong...

but I think you like Hoover!! That is an excellent collection!! I am so jealous!! ;-)

P.S. Where is Milano?? England??

Floor Tool on Constellation

That is so cool!!! Wonder why they didn't use those in the USA? That would have been much better that the combination rug/floor tool that was standard on the Constellation and Portables through the 60's and 70's.

Tommy thanks again for taking the time to show us all your collection and the literature. It has been so interesting and as I said, brought back many memories.

Tommy...I am so impressed with your collection of Hoover cleaners. I particularly liked the Hoover Seniors. The colors that you had available to you are just out of sight nothing like what we had. Thank you for posting them. Hoover really had some great products in the 1970's!

Wow!

I like those hard cased juniors! Are they just hard bodied versions of the soft bagged Junior? Or a completely different machine? I also like the cylinders too. I'd like to get one someday.

Great collection! Thanks for sharing.

Joe

Beautiful Collection, Tommy

Especially all those DAM/Convertibles. They seem to have been a lot more popular in mainland Europe than in the UK. Do you know where the orange Power Drive was built? Looks like it was made after production ceased in the US.

That metallic Senior is to die for too!

re:

the hard cased juniors were a variation of standard juniors, if you remove the bag compartment and the handle, you have the same motor hood as the others.
Model Junior starlight(the orange one in my pictures) was totally different: it is built in a sort of "dial-a-matic" style, but with direct type motor.I don't like it very much. Never liked small things.

U 6033

Hi, the orange Power drive was made in late 70s, before the introduction of the Power drive U 3101 (concept one). Mine was purchased in 1979!

Got to love those Hoovers

Wow, I love every Hoover in this collection. They are awesome.

You have an extremely meticulous, and stunning collection.
