Some recent vacuums I've seen...

My Nilfisk Advance PowerOne 12

What a sweet machine. Most solidly built plastic vac I've ever used. Perhaps most solid vac period I own regardless of material used in construction.

I wonder how the Nilifisk compares to a Sebo/Windsor... Reminds me of Lindhaus...

Yes, get the Cruiser! I've never seen one with purple plastic parts! It was my dream machine for a very long time, and I do love mine, though I don't use it much. Not much suction, though agitation is great. It was super hard to polish the metal because I didn't want to mess up the decals...

It's a shame that the headlight lens has clouded up like that... I wonder if that can be cleared?

No comment on the Chinese Fantom (unless it can make sweet and sour chicken LOL)...

I have a Cruiser-don't use mine hardly at all-got it out the trade in pile from the former Vacuum Cleaner Hospital place-was traded in towards a Riccar.Mine is in pretty good shape. The "tech" drive on it is sort of jerky compared to a Kirby.Interesting metal body sort of like a Powercast.

Hmm

Is it a dual motor or Single motor? If it's a dual it's a diamante clone if single it's an activa clone which i think is a little more likely.

So ya, like you said Blackheart...

looking it up further i see Activa & Diamante look the same but have one or two motors respectively. My Nilfisk Advance is a single motor rebadged Activa.

Alright

I kinda figured, i don't think i've ever seen them produce a diamante for another company. The activa is still a wonderful machine.

Get one of these Kenmores' if you can

They were discontinued last year and went for a
song on EBay, mine was $27 delivered!
A joy to use, brush roll shut off, quiet, made by
Panasonic.

Another Tri Star find

Although I already have this vacuum I was driving by on my way to LA and bought it for $35. What caught my eye were the original tools and price. The man had bought it new from a Dtd salesman for $700. He added clips to wind the cord around. He replaced it with a Miele because his new carpet demanded suction control as per his experience with the Tri star clamping and mfg recommendation.
I gave it to an LA friend in need of a canister to go with his Concept One. I kept the power head.

Okay now we're talking!

The Cruiser came home after today's 75% off sale. But in a nearby thrift outlet I found the cleanest used least vac in my experience...my first Stark Royal with all the attachments!

Never thought...

I'd find a Stark. See them on EBay and here on vacuumland
but never anywhere I buy vacs. This is an 8 amp model. The vacuum looks perfect except the
Adjust 'o' Right indicator is jammed in it's housing...
