Chase, WOW.... you are "blessed" when it comes to finding vacuums. I've been missing your posts, but it was certainly worth the wait LOL

I've always liked the self-propelled bagless... the way they look anyway... I know they lose power fast and are a mess to clean. If you found one with all the attachments, and no broken cord hooks or adjustment sliders, you got a rare find indeed.

I like the eureka upright, hoover power max, and dyson as well... and to think you got the dyson for free! Those still go for about 2 or 3 hundred dollars on c/l here.

Did you hand polish the G5? It looks really good. Again, wow!

Bobby,

I just never have any time to keep up with posting! Anyway, I never gave any thought to the bagless self propelled Windtunnels, but I am really liking this! I thought that it would lose airflow fast, but the filter actually stays relatively clean during use, and I love being able to see what I pick up with it! My parents even asked if I could leave it upstairs for them to use because they liked how well it cleaned! But you're absolutely right about being a mess to empty. It's something that I'm willing to deal with though because the performance basically makes up for it. When I got it the cord was wrapped around the handle, so I thought oh great, the cord hook is busted. But they were both actually still intact!

Dysons go for a lot on Craigslist around here too, but this is actually the second one I've gotten for free! My dad's friend gave me that DC25 a few months ago that might as well have been brand new. I just have luck with Dysons!

I did hand polish my G5. I do with all of my vacuums. I plan on getting a polishing pad for my bench grinder one of these days, but I just haven't gotten around to doing it.

I have a Powerforce Turbo, and it smells damp due to the filters being damp and the thing smelling like dog mess. My Windtunnel is used upstairs, so no big deal.

I have both the bagged and bagless windtunnels and prefer the bagless. The bags just clog up to fast,to get the best out of the machine you have to change the bag when its quater full. That's just a waste I prefer to empty the container and wash the filter after each use on the bagless one.

The dc18 is my favourite dyson I have a few I like its retro looks I have a grey and blue one that is my favourite

NICE Vacs

Interesting variety. The blue/white Eureka was once very common.yours must be the best surviver. You might want to take a second look at the Lewyt. These were nice and an important 50s vac.

Nice finds. I notice in the background of the PowerMax, there's a Kenmore guacamole canister. I remember when Kmart sold those a few years back. Where did you find that one and the 70s avocado canister?
