So to keep things interesting, I thought I would post some Eurekas of the slightly earlier variety. I found one, whole machine, and two completing components.

First off, I found a green and gold 1959, anniversary Eureka Automatic model 260. I have had the matching green Anniversary Mobile Air canister for a few years now. The 260 is in excellent condition, and has the delicate original bag.

I found this perfectly lovely tool kit for my 1955 Automatic Model 250. it is complete and in good condition, and the hang tag "Instruction" sheet was even tucked in the box.

last, but certianly not least.

I found a original bag for my 1967 Cordaway model 267. This I was most pleased about!

Some of

The best uprights ever made IMHO. they are so much easier to use and better balanced than the plastic base models, and even though they have a smaller motor. the disturbulator brush enables them to outclean even the newer Sanitaires.

Lovely mementos from the 1950's and 60's.

I've always been curious about the way the earlier Eureka 250 accepted the hose convertor. Would be wonderful to see pics that show what it looks like from the underside with the sole plate removed. I seem to remember reading that the older tool conversion system damaged bare floors because the hose adapter reached all the way down beyond the brush roll or something. Obviously, the later system protected floors a bit better with the new plastic Bottom Plate. But the older convertor is a bit of a mystery to me.
