I have two boxes of "stuff" -- one box of Kirby and one box of Electrolux -- if anyone wants either or both of these boxes and can come and get them, they're yours. See photos.

=OR= if you can arrange COD shipping, or have a UPS account I can bill the shipping to, that will also be fine.

But you'll have to take the whole box or boxes! I don't want people to pick out one or two pieces and want to leave the rest. The idea is to get rid of this stuff. So PLEASE don't ask and make me have to say no!! :)

P.S.: I won't accept offers to send me money in advance for shipping.

Reason: Because every time I've done that I've ended up getting "the short end of the stick." The on-line UPS calculator always low-balls their shipping estimates. If you can't do COD or don't have a UPS account, sorry, but this offer will not apply to you.

Electrolux stuff

Hi Charles Richard. Please calculate the shipping cost and let me know what it is. I have a pay pal account, so I can cover the cost before it's sent.

Thanks,

Robert Alex.

Kirby stuff

Charles, if you would be willing to hold the Kirby stuff until Thursday, that would be fabulous. My father gets paid on Thursday, and I don't have any money to pay for shipping at the moment. Be assured that the Kirby stuff will be going to a happy home!

Sonnydad, I'll be willing to ship the Kirby stuff to you if you can arrange C.O.D. ("cash on delivery" for the shipping charge or else give me a UPS account number to bill it to.

UPS does offer C.O.D. service. The shipping cost is payable when the package is delivered.

Thanks,

Charles,

My father said that it would be fine to ship the Kirby stuff C.O.D. He will e-mail you tomorrow with shipping information.

Thank you Charles Richard.

I'm one happy man tonight!

That box of hoses is a goldmine. And as plans are in the works to being my entire collection here from Indiana, rest assured the attachments will have a place of honor in the new display room.

Yes, we will finalise the rest by email.

Thanks again,

Robert Alex.

Charles,

When my father set up the Vacuumland account, he put his age instead of mine. I probably ought to change that soon...

Vintage Kirby parts

All those vintage Kirby attachments will be going to support my vintage Kirbys.(Plus a 512 with the original grey grip that isn't pictured.)[this post was last edited: 8/12/2013-12:00]

NEWSFLASH

I just called UPS to ask about something else, and also asked about C.O.D. shipping while I had the guy on the phone. I found out they no longer do C.O.D. shipping. So what I am going to have to do is box the stuff up, take it to U.P.S., get a shipping rate on it, collect the money from you for the shipping, and then send it to you. It would have been so easy to do it C.O.D. but the guy said they got burned too many times when people would refuse C.O.D. shipments.

Sorry I didn't

get your message. We were replacing dead Flourescent ballasts. My father will be happy to send you a check. When it clears your bank, feel free to send the box at your convenience.
