Some Columbus polishers I am restoring

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

This is a Older version of the B11 , The main difference between the B11 and B12 or Mark III is that the B11 cannot be converted into a vacuum.
This version uses the same motor as a B12 while newer versions used a different motor

This motors spindle allen screw had rusted shut and had to be drilled out.

Once off The fan is removed and then access to the motor can be had from either bottom or top. On newer motors you can oly access the motor from the top.

It is Bakelite. Newer versions had a polymer fan.

Here is the motor in pieces. Not in bad condition Just a little work needed and a good clean.

I love these carbon brush covers

"dlooking" good indeed! Thanks for answering me on the fan, I guess it could be made out of Styrofoam for all Columbus cared, All it needs to do is move dust, not rocks!
