Some 2016 VCCC photos

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Looks like so much fun!

I certainly wish I could have been there! Maybe some year I'll get a chance to make it, but in the meantime, I can sit and look at these photos and drool all over my keyboard!!! LOL! Is that the club's Electrolux CE? It's a lovely specimen, that's for sure!

Phillip,

Thanks for the photos. Looks like some great machines. Wish I could have been there as well, not in the cards this year.

Looking forward to more pictures of vacuums and attendee's.

LOL!

--That Riccar Radiance cleaning the carpet ever for the first time ever with that Airway nozzle---- hmmmm!!

That Riccar is a fantastic cleaner as is!!! Terrific deep cleaner. Attach that hose back to its normal receptacle, recline the handle, turn the brush roll and engulf yourself on a thorough deep cleaning venture to remove dirt no vacuum before has ever been able to do-- even where that Eureka nozzle was!!

Everything was done in good fun in Missouri as well!!

The one Hoover was quite unusual, I had never seen it before but apparently at some point Hoover subcontracted to Tacony for a SupraLite style upright. It was kinda neat. Tom came over with the camera and I grabbed a "regular" Hoover too!! All in good fun!! Afterall they're just vacuums!! There are more important things in life such as never ending bills that arrive every month!!! LOL

The VCCC convention was wonderful! Thank you Jon Durfor and Jeff Parker for opening your homes to us! Thank you Jocab Siebel for providing the projector and Kirby Classic demo films, they were hysterical! Next year Phillip Muller and myself will be co-hosting the convention in Tulsa and Independence Kansas. Thanks again to everyone for all their hard work!

I am in Chicagoland... To Bad I Couldnt Come

Looks like it was a really interesting convention. To bad I couldn't make it so I could sell some of my collection and make room for some new pieces, and learn a few new things about vacs.

Returned the rental car this morning beofore school

Wasn't able to sell everything I brought with me. I'll bring some again. I'll also donate a few things to my church's flea market in August.

We roared at that 1960's--60's film. SOOO funny.

WE ALL had a great time. It was SO wonderful to see Marty Rocha, Jeff Parker again as well as my very close friend, Tom Anderson, who was visiting at Jeff's I'll see him again before the summer is over. But, it was great to all be back together, if only for a short time. Jeff came up behind me and wrapped foreign hoses around my neck. HE knows a good laugh and is a kind, fun-loving man. Tom A. and I did the glove thing, too. I was supposed to be Bill Edstrom's 'assistant' in a Kirby clinic. Next time, Bill. THAT was all done in good fun., I can always tell the difference, luckily. It was also nice spending some quality time with Bill Kirby...gee, it was like Kirby overload, a man named Kirby, a Kirby film fest, clinic, etc....Scott is looking great, with the college semesters behind him. Tyler, ever so polite, he has matured so well. Jon's home was great. His mom is most gracious.

The contests were fun, as always. Michael Turner was awarded the "Ruth Hollander Award"... congrats to you, Michael, you stepped up to the plate so faithfully for our club, more than once. .....so relieved you're "cancer Free". And, Miss Tania, "The First Lady of Vacuums". Honestly, if you can't get along with Tania, the fault lies with you.

More info, photos soon.

Glad everyone had a fantastic time and got home safe!!!

John always takes the "razzing" well when others, myself included, try to dupe him into trying other brands!! John Long, you know I've tried to get to feel the suction of my Eureka canisters that have made appearances at your home. --- Of course I did try to give you notice of whenever a foreign species would be traveling with me, but also I had Hoovers with me too every time as well and usually at least two Hoovers and not just one!

I think one time with gloves, John I got you to push a Eureka power nozzle or atleast touch the hose. But seconds later we gave you a Hoover power nozzle canister and a Hoover 1070 with which you could "Re-Hoover" and feel relieved again, LOL LOL!!

Yes the gloves come out, the Holy Water comes out, the priest collar comes out. I've also seen hammers and saws come out. At the last Monster Bash, there were a few foreigners sitting on trash bags so they wouldn't burn a hole through the floor with yellow Caution tape wrapped around them!! It adds to the fun!!
