I just went and bought a brand new Sebo Felix! I went to my local Sebo dealer and tried this thing out and absolutely loved it! So much, that I traded in my Avalir, my old Rainbow SE and a TriStar for a huge discount on this machine. I never used the other machines that much and it was time to let them go. Considering I didn’t have that much invested in the other machines I still came out to the good and got a machine I LOVE. It checks every box for what I need in a vacuum. I just say I will now be a Sebo owner for life. When this one quits I won’t hesitate to buy another. I should be good for a while though with my 7 year warranty.

I was actually going to start a new thread about this, I'm actually thinking of getting a Sebo Felix for a friend of mine for Christmas and would like to know what everyone thinks of them. I'm not an upright person, I much prefer hose cleaners of all types but I've actually thought about getting one myself because they are so flexible. My friend's house is all carpet other than the kitchen, and she has 4 cats. Right now she is using a Hoover that is around 30 years old, not sure of the model but I'm guessing it's the dirty air design, and it clogs frequently and only has paper bags available as far as I know. I think the Felix would be a big improvement. I already have a Sebo power nozzle and those are awesome and I know that's what the Felix uses.

I've just purchased a Sebo Felix Pet & I'm really happy with it so far. I've used an Automatic X4 before but the automatic height adjustment doesn't dig in deep enough when on a thick pile carpet for my liking. The Felix, having manual height adjustment, does a really good job at deep brushroll cleaning.

I also have a Kirby G6 / 2000 series to compare to. The Kirby would be ideal for Buckingham Palace and it's miles of carpeted corridoors, fantastic cleaning performance, but the G6 is not ideal to corner around tight narrow spots in the average British 2 up 2 down mid terraced home and is pants on hard floors without the clip on adaptor which is a faff. The Felix is may more easy to move about and with comparable performance.

Spec of the British sold Felix (700w suction / 175w ET1 head) is 50l/s air flow and 175mbar vacuum (106 CFM & 70 inches of water for our American brothers) which is pretty respectable for a clean air machine.

Glad to see others who like them!

I love the tight nimble design as well as the ability to change floor types pretty easy as I have many different types and a small home. A Kirby just doesn’t fit my needs for the reason. The Sebo is flexible and gets everything with ease. I Iove the power and quality!

How is the carpet cleaning performance in general like? I've heard that they surprisingly do better tham the X4, which I find odd.
How do you think it fares with other bypass machines? Aerus/electrolux (discovery) prolux simplicity, Miele. Congrats on your purchase!

It cleans so well

That I use it mostly in middle to low speed on the variable control because it will pick my rugs off the floor! So superb in my opinion!

I know the question wasn't directed at me but I figured I'd throw my 2c in anyways

I've been doing some sand tests the Felix scored 77% with 10 passes for comparision my Lux upright, upgraded with a henry motor scored 66% A lindhaus Healthcare pro got 49%

Those are the only bypass uprights I've tested so far, but the Felix is a good machine and it does have higher airflow at the nozzle vs the X4.

It’s nice to hear some numbers behind the machine. Like I said I’ve never really had a machine that I’ve been just absolutely happy with until now. I can’t believe the cleaning performance packed in such a small machine that feels of such quality as well.

No problem, Devin, feel free to chime in whenever, anybody really.. I guess the greater airflow at the cleaner head explains why it performs better at cleaning, than the X4. Looking at the Sebo Felix reminds me of the Miele quickstep, if anybody remembers that model. I tried it out at a vac shop here, and was also able to use a canister PN such as the 236. It was just ok IMO. The Felix definitely seems like a more robust, full size cleaner in general.

Sebo Felix and Sebo X series

I'm coming at this as someone who much prefers canister cleaners rather than uprights, but it seems that the Felix is far more flexible than the Sebo X series. Yet the X series seems to be considered Sebo's flagship or high end series. I'm just wondering what advantage the X series offers over the Felix, if there is any.
