I looked at the Smeg stuff

Most of it LOOKS nice until you see the made in China in tiny letters! I will stick to my old stuff I made a pound cake today with a late 50s Dormeyer Silver Star and truthfully wouldn't trade it for any new mixer.

It's so nice to own things,like appliances that

weren't designed to expire after so many uses. Assuming that humans are still around in 50-100 years from now, I wouldn't doubt some of these 50's-60's appliances are still running just fine. Hoping there are still some who even care.
