I just changed the bag in my S/P Windtunnel and noticed how quickly it fills up. I NEVER change bags (I don't think I've changed a bag in probably a year or so on the other machines!). The reason is that I have a small place and I have so many machines that none of them get used too much so I kind of "spread it around" and none of the bags fill quickly. I have a cat, and cat hair doesn't ferment like dog hair so smell is never an issue with the bags. Now, there are a few reasons that I think the Windtunnel's bags fill so quickly (I've changed it 3 times now since I got the machine last December). First is that I love the machine so much that I use it more than any other, it truly has become my daily driver. Another reason is that is has the on board tools and bare floor features so I use it to clean all surfaces, not just carpet. The only other upright I have that has on board tools is the Dyson and while the attachments are better quality on the Dyson, that telescoping wand is a pain to deal with. The Windtunnel is just so easy! I have the attachments for most of my other machines (Kirbys, Royal, Hoover Innovation), but by the time I dig them out of the closet and hook them up, I could have whipped the Windtunnel out, used it (and loved every second of it), and have it put back away! Plus, it's just such a powerful vacuum, I know it cleans better than any of my other machines, I truly fall in love with it all over again each time I use it. But, the Y bags are very small, too small for a full sized vacuum I think. At least the Windtunnel still maintains a decent level of suction even with a full bag.
Just wondering what other machines you've noticed that have insanely small bags, and if it annoys you too? I know the Electrolux Intensity and the Kenmore Magic Blue are infamous for small bags, any others that you can think of?
