I broke the clip on the Sirena vacuum hose.  This is the part that latches onto the vacuum.

Does anyone know if you can repair the hose end, or will I need to replace the entire hose.  It seems like a big expense $94.90, to replace an obviously weak part.  Just hoping the clip can be repaired.

Thanks everyone.

I'd email them on their website

just to see what they say. If it's any consolation.....the SAME thing happened with my Rainbow (non-electric) hose a long time ago. I was carrying the hose over my shoulder walking along and the hose movement from me walking caused the hose to hit the wall and the planets must have been aligned perfectly and the clip broke off from the way it hit the wall. So it's also a WEAK part on the Rainbow too. I just assumed it couldn't be fixed so I ended up just buying another hose but I got the 14 foot hose which over the years has been great to reach high and low without moving the unit.

broken hose end

I did the same thing with the end of my Rainbow long after it was out of warranty but my selling dealer did send me a kit to replace the hose end at no cost. I could not figure it out so I took it in to the local Rainbow dealer and he replaced the 2 pieces that made up the hose coupling for me at no cost.
I agree with Mark, I believe that is a weak spot on the design.

U have to have your machine converted??

That's amazingly stupid, don't you think? They don't even MAKE the hoses you currently have and in order to use the new style u have to have it converted?

"Sorry it cannot be repaired you need to convert the unit to the new style."

Allow me to translate that for you ^_^

"We're not going to trust you or anyone else to make a repair, so instead, take it to an authorized service center to have the recommended procedure performed on it. If we say anything else we might be liable for damages."
