Hey Hans, that's real purty. But what caught my eye was the Johnson's Wax floor polisher in the photo. Where/when did you get that? I'd love to see some photos of THAT! :)

Hans, that is one beautiful machine. I always thought these would be so great to use cleaning a staircase.

One of my Aunts had a Singer Golden Glide,,i remember thinking how cool the Eureka Style attachments and hose were in brown! It really was a fun vacuum to use,,it reminded me of a Cadillac!
I know her Golden Glide was an excellent vacuum, and she had it for many yrs. When she got wall to wall carpet in the mid 1970s, she bought the top of the line Eureka Vanguard style Upright, with the Cordaway, and the speed control trigger in the handle.(that was a fun vacuum to use too)
She got the attachments and hose(and the red carrying case) with the Vanguard so the Singer got moved to the basement and for cleaning out the car. I know she still had and was still using the Golden Glide in the early 2000s when she moved to assisted living. I got it, and did a slight restore, new hose, ect. and gave it to a relative,,who used it for awhile, but said she couldnt get bags for it anymore,,and tossed it in a dumpster! GRRRRRR

Hey Hans?

tink-tink-tink [tapping on computer monitor]

So what about that Johnson's Wax floor polisher? Surrrrrrrrrre would love to see some photos of it, and a story of where you found it. Do you ever use it? It makes the coolest retro woer-woer-woer sound.

Golden Glide.

Shouldn't this thread be in Member's only?

Anyway, Great machine Hans - your collection is awesome!

That's beautiful! Is the hose airtight? Love the Preco Powernozzle, too! I have a Preco powernozzle somewhere, that went with my grandmother's central vac. She hated it, and seldom used it.
