Hello Vacuumland folks!
My name is Zach, from Wyoming and I am a proud owner of a Simplicity Synchrony vacuum!
This bad boy has been working great for quite a few years for me and my woman.
As of lately though, he has developed a bad vibration when switching over to the "Carpet" mode. Upon inspection and a live bench test I think the bearings on the brush roller have gone bad. I put it on my work bench and live tested it. Pulled the roller out and the bearing don't seem bad but one side does feel a little bit of a hard spot.
The belt looked fine but since I have it torn apart I might as well replace that too.
Is it normal to have the roller go bad like this and cause a horrid vibration? I hope so cause I no longer have a vacuum repair man where I live.
Thanks a million,
-Zach
