My dad just got rid of his shop vac which he’s had for years. Most modern shop vacs seem the same but if there are any that you recommend I would love to hear your suggestions.
They now make rechargeable cordless shop vacs which are great for cleaning places that don’t have a plug nearby. Hoover has one that uses its PWR1 system of batteries that can be used some of it’s other cordless vacs and floor washers.
Have milwaukees 12 gallon 2 18 volt battery shop vacuum. I got a screaming deal o.n it.
Craftsman red shop vacs with detachable blower or rigid are good vacuums. If you put bags in shop vacs they perform considerably better.
Thanks all the suggestions! I have a dewalt shop vac that’s cordless I use around my shop, so I’ll buy him a ridgid. I’ll also be sure to use bags in it. Thanks!
My dad bought this Bauer Shop Vac like 2-ish years ago. Our family was avid Shop-Vac brand owners, but after they've seemingly become less prominent in recent times, my dad made the switch. For a cheap hardware store Shop Vac, it was actually a decent machine in my eyes. It was pretty quiet all things considered, and it had decent airflow, and thus performed well. The only complaints I have with it is that it didn't come with any other attachments besides the wands and nozzle, despite it having additional slots for them. Unfortunately, it's bearings have been quite thoroughly destroyed from him apparently sucking up gallons upon gallons of water. It still works, but it sounds like it's going to blow up at any second. The plug also apparently came off, so he had to splice a new one on it.
