I've decided to liquidate my collection. I am moving cross country and do not want to lug my machines with me.
I am starting out with my fully loaded Classic O. My question is How would I ship this monster?
Is it possible to double box both packages in to one big box with a separate box for the Kirby?
I am thinking of going with a professional route.
with the Kirby upright itself disassembled (handle and bag off, handle taken apart etc)
I have had it on Craigslist and Ebay as a local pickup and received some ridiculously low offers on it (It has a new fan, all the options and an aftermarket genuine Kirby flexible hose to name a few).
I am thinking professional packaging because my pet peeve is when something ships out in the original box- Dents, packaging labels and all- Don't want to do that to this one.
What are your experiences with shipping machines of this size?
What is the best way to move it?
Thank you,
Derek.
