I also see you replaced the original infamous gray plastic fan... I've seen many people say it wasn't a good design due to the plastic on it warping after long periods of using the cleaner with the hose (and especially with the inflator/deflator tool).

I actually needed a new housing.
The spring was fine, but someone let the handle slam forward too many times over the years, and eventually it sheered through its own housing!
So, I needed a new one. I found a used one for a few bucks.
