Hose replacement
That part has nothing to do with it.
If you're lucky and this is one that can accept standard wire reinforced bulk hose and it isn't moulded into rubber at either end, here is the trick, remove all the screws separating the clamshell of the power head. Once you've in there you can pull the other end of the hose out of the bottom of the clamshell, then pull the broken hose out with pliers, it will come apart with each coil of the reinforcement coming out like a spiral.
Now for replacement, cut a section of bulk hose that is too long, better to have it under compression while it is out than tension when it is standing vertical. Thread it into the neck, then the lower plastic piece that is inside the head, check and recheck, might need to shorten a few times. Then get some contact cement(Dap, Pliobond, etc.) and glue it in place and let it dry for a while. Re-assemble.
