Hi all,

Just a quick question which I was hoping someone could help me with... I am going to ring Shark tomorrow if I get chance in work to confirm if nobody here is able to assist.

The motor has failed on my NV680UKT. The bearing has seized causing the motor to stutter. I have found what appears to be a similar replacement part on the Shark website- an NV681UKT motor base.

Are these two parts compatible?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Has the motor failed, or the bearing? If it's the bearing just oil the bearing.

If the motor is bad as in melted/shorted out, open the vacuum up and look at the model/part # of the motor, you might be able to find the motor itself rather than buying a whole housing.

Well they might be ball bearings, in which case replace them. Though the motor base unit assembly is not really unreasonably priced. Not sure about the compatibility.
