I recently had to open up my vintage Shark NV22L vacuum cleaner to replace the belt. Once I got all of the screws out of the bottom cover it fell off, along with two rectangle shaped black pieces of metal (lead-like), 2-1/4" by 1-1/8", with one long edge sloped. They look like some sort of bumper piece but I can't find reference to them anywhere or where to put them back in.

Any Ideas.

Those are weights they go in towards the front of the nozzle. Without them your powerhead won't dig into the carpet nearly as much
