I wasn't going to stop, but I said eh why not? Came across this Electro Hygiene model 966. Has most of its original attachments, and even the instruction manual.

Some of those attachments look very Filter-Queen-ish.

Awesome find! Almost complete with the attachments too! You know last month I ALMOST won a gold yellow Electro Hygiene canister vacuum with complete attachments on eBay till someone else wanted the vacuum too. Oh well, that’s how the game plays!

Nice Find!
And I can tell by the hose, gray attachments, and lack of a bumper on the rug nozzle that it is one of the earlier 966's, from the mid to late 50's to the early 60's. Later versions had blue attachments, a bumper on the rug nozzle, and the indestructible vinyl hose.

The rating plate on his machine would also mention The P. A. Geier Company rather than Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. (the transition to the latter was complete by serial no. 68928 on the model in question: 966)
Here are the two versions of the nameplate I'm talking about. The older version of the nameplate (serial no. 966-41834) also does not have three patents listed: 2,997,729 (filed 1959/issued 1961), 3,066,345 (filed 1961/issued 1962) and design patent D-193,172 (filed 1961/issued 1962). The newer version (serial no. 966-68928) also omits patent 2,917,769 (filed 1955/issued 1959).
