Selling some machines! Take a look!

Hoover Model 29. I rebuilt this a few months ago, again, a duplicate that needs to go. Runs really nicely, I think I put new carbon brushes in the motor. I did install a brand new genuine 30' Hoover replacement cord, and brand new aftermarket "To Fit" dump-out bag, which looks pretty sharp on this machine. This 29 has a really cool, and very low serial number. A5004004 - which I interpret to be the 4003rd machine off the line, so this was very early in the production run. I'd like $100 + shipping for this - somewhat firm on the price here. But don't be shy to make an offer. This will need two boxes; one for the cleaner, one for the handle.

Lux XXX. This is another duplicate. Probably a 5 or 6 out of 10, could be really beautiful with some cleaning and polishing. Not sure if I have an extra hose for it, I'd have to look. I can probably find a set of wands. $20 plus shipping.

Nice machines all. You shouldn't have any trouble selling them.

I used to have a vacuum cleaner very similar to your Sanitaire "Mighty Mite" that was badged "Sanitaire by Electrolux Professional." It was a nice little machine except for the tiny dust bag.

And "knock me down with a feather" -- I recently found a Hoover 29 with the same exact black bag as yours has!

I agree it looks really nice on the machine. I tried to blot out the "To Fit" words with black magic marker but you can still kinda see them.

It also has a black heavy-duty cord but it's dried out and cracked and the original molded plug was replaced, and it has a replacement pearl-white bumper and same-color handle grip.

Mine's a vac shop attic rescue and it needs a lot of work. The hood is in pretty good condition but the base is very marred and scratched. I'm tossing around the idea of painting it metallic gray hammertone. What do you think?

I like the baby-blue Eureka (from the 1960s I think) and, of course, the Lux XXX! :)

The Eureka Cordaway has been sold.

Charles - I think the grey hammertone would look really sharp on that 29! There was a very subtle 'crackle' in the original paint, almost a hammertone, but not quite. I thought about trying to peel off the "To Fit" letters with a very sharp razor blade, or as you suggested with a black marker. Eh, the new owner can do that if they so choose.

Fred...beautiful vacs on sale here! Wish I had the space to take a Eureka or two!

Just FYI: the aqua Eureka canister is definitely from the mid 1960's.

Good luck with your sales! :-)

vac for sale.

Hi, I'm interested in the green Eureka upright.
I don't really need anymore vacs but I'd like to have that one. :)
