it certainly has value... there are plenty or Riccar/Simplicity fans on this site. It's a very good vacuum and I'm sure someone will be interested in adding it to their collection. If it were a canister, I'd be making an offer right now.

The serial number will betray its age, as well as whether or not it has the double fan, double ball bearing motor in it. What's the serial number?

It's actually a VERY good vacuum, well made, with tons of suction.
