Agree Mike think SEBO are one of the best you can get! I love my Felix it’s very versatile the only thing having now got and used the X machine I prefer the wand and hose on the X for doing around edges, skirting/base boards and in corners as you don’t have to bend! I know you can get an extension wand to use with the Felix if needed.

It’s quite interesting the features people want to see added to the X are on the Felix and the one thing people say the Felix needs is an onboard wand like the X is on that model. Surely you buy the one that suits your needs!? Just a thought!

Agree Mark that swivel head for hard floors is fantastic on the Kobold I love using it on my VK150. I just don’t use the tools enough even though they are fantastic to it just a pain having to get them out and attach them lol!

Totally understand Mark your point, I tend to use my Vorwerk or Felix on hard floors but occasionally use my X machine to with no problem. Surprising how many cordless vacuum in the UK in particular have a brush roll/plush brush roll as such to clean hard floors these days!

I know not everyone likes the automatic height adjustment but for the average user to them it makes the job easy as the machine does it for them! It’s a balance between optimal cleaning performance and easy gliding action over floors! So many people in general complain in the UK that their machines are hard to push over carpets because most have the floating head that sticks to the carpet!

I’ve not used a G but I’d say the X7 is on par with the Felix for cleaning! Some have the added boost which I’ve yet hardly used on my X7. The automatic height has been tuned on the X7 so it’s not constantly going up and down as some reported on the X4! Not as I’ve particularly noticed it on my X4’s. I hear the X7 when it’s monitoring the height it senses the flooring 3 times in succession now before it makes any adjustment! I’ve notice it grips the floor more than my older X4’s even without using the boost setting too!

One thing I prefer about the X Series is the motor is in the floorhead giving a low centre of gravity so it feels very light to push around, The Felix has the motor further up in the body and you can feel the weight more. When we had the EU ratings for carpet performance the Felix had a B rating and the X7 had a D rating so that did put me off the X7 a bit

But it's still a another possible purchase.

You can feel the weight a bit more on the Felix compared to the X when using them both as an upright machine. Interesting the VK140, VK150 and VK200 all have the motor at the top of the main body, you do feel the motor is there but they are lighter than the Felix. Both use different motors, the SEBO is a conventional motor whereas the Vorwerk use brushless motors that are lighter and smaller!

Be interesting if SEBO use these motors in the future suppose it depends on their reliability too! The Felix/Dart is about 15 years old now so that may have an update to it soon or may not! I’d love to see the LED light off the X7 on the ET-1 Powerhead that would be fantastic!

It did but I never took any of though ratings to seriously more a rough guide for me as every home is different and different vacuum cleaners perform differently in each home! More interesting is SEBO in the UK is the only floor care brand to be independently recommended and endorsed by all the leading carpet manufacturers as the best way to care and maintain your carpets! Each machine is put through rigorous tests by these carpet manufacturers independently to SEBO. Quite an achievement I think for the brand.

Don't get me wrong I still highly recommend Sebo but since I got a Vorwerk VK150 it has edged out Sebo as my favourite upright.

I love my Vorwerk VK150 it’s used for mopping and vacuuming hard floors and vacuuming carpets and hard floors too along with my SEBO’s! Both do a fantastic job. I briefly had the VK200 too which was great. The reason I use my SEBO more is the handy onboard tools, the Vorwerk tool kit is fantastic but I’ve not use it for nearly 2 years! That’s what makes it so light and nimble in Upright mode. You have to change the way you clean and do tool work say first then the main floor last for example! This can be time consuming!

There was talk of Vorwerk bringing the Kobold upright and the Tiger canister to the United States but not sure if they will! I would say the Tiger would be more suitable and more versatile too for this market.

The design of the Vorwerk is not the best for above floor cleaning unless you use the strap to carry it around which personally I don't like so I use my central vac or Miele C3.
But for cleaning carpets ive not found anything better 😍
