My X4 has suddenly become hard to push, not sure if my brush is bad or a problem with the height system. My X4 is 8 months old, I don’t see how the brush (blue) could be bad. I just used it, and it was very difficult to push, I also noticed that the base was hotter than normal, my bag is not full. Does anyone have a suggestion? I will be contacting Sebo and my dealer next.

I have a solution! Before calling Sebo I wanted to try something simple, changing the bag. The bag was not full, but I forgot that I had been picking up the Duo powder from several spots that I cleaned. The Duo powder had the top of the bag caked and clogged, therefore reducing the suction and airflow going to the floor. The decreased resistance from the suction and airflow, caused the brush to be lowered further. Simple fix, I hope this helps anyone that has a similar issue!

The thing I like about their automatic height adjuster is that they can lower just enough where not only you'd get enough RPM but also enough airflow and agitation to clean carpets especially when it comes to cleaning like underneath the beds. When this video was released a while ago about how the SEBO works, that's what got me sold on a X4. It's too bad the spring green model was only here for a limited time because that's my most favorite color they've come out with. At least we have the X7 in pastel mint but it's also too bad it's not being used on the X4 because I like that model more.

yeah, that is another problem. Wouldn't it be great if every vacuum came with a "spares pack" consisting of some belts, a brushroll, some bags, all filters, etc.
In the US at least Sebo has outstanding low prices for bags, filters and normal wear items, great customer service and fast shipping. I have never had to wait for anything on back order ordering directly from Sebo.

SeboU1 - Glad you figured out that a clogged bag and reduced airflow caused your issue with the Sebo clamping down to the rug.

However, I have another solution you can try next time without changing the bag. If you have the problem of a bag with clogged pores, causing reduced airflow, here's what to do: Take the bag out, put the cap on the bag, give it a good vigorous shake, take the cap off and reinstall the bag. You will find if you do this, it will knock the dust off the walls of the bag and will restore the vacuum's airflow. I find I usually have to do this at least 2 or 3 times with my vacuum bags. It really helps not only restore the vacuum's airflow and cleaning performance, but also greatly extends the bag's life.

Huh...it's interesting but makes sense that the lowering occured. I think the height adjustment is triggered of the clutch assembly, which when the machine is clogged there's less air resistance which would cause the motor to run at a higher rpm causing it to lower itself thinking the brush doesn't have enough resistance.
I am curious, did your check bag light come on? If it was that clogged up It probably should have.

This is an example of why I prefer the non automatic G series. Simple and analog.

No the bag light did not come on, but the base did seam slightly warmer than usual.
