Sebo X4 Concerning Sound

I believe it is a fault on the belts.

I had an X4 pet boost machine do the exact same thing. Somebody that works for Sebo told me that it was something to do with the belts so before going down the warranty route I opened the machine up myself, checked all the teeth on both belts and also that nothing was stuck in the little teeth on any of the 3 belt pulleys.

I couldn't see anything wrong so the machine was sent to Sebo for a warranty repair.

When the machine was returned I opened it up again to see what had been replaced and all they had done was replace both belts.

I had a pet boost too. Same thing happened to me. Had the belts replaced and it was fine.
I've sold it now though. Prefer the Kirby. Still an excellent machine but I'd prefer Manuel height adjustment like on the G1.

Thanks for that

I will try replacing the belts. But, the sound has only been occurring intermittently since last night, but it still happens.

There's a guy on YouTube called rusty scull. He has had a similar problem. He's done a few videos changing the belts the sensor etc. This has been going on for quite a while. He is still scratching his head 😀

He imported it from Germany it's a G1. It's not available in the UK. He doesn't want to send it back for repair.

Sebo are usually extremely reliable so I'm not sure what's going on
