Yes, why?

Is there an issue or something? Lol. Yes, Tayyab it is the same Alex...Yes, I am "actually" gay and "have been" for a while, infact, all my life. Sorry, if I dissapointed you!

Like I said i am just surprised, I didnt know you were and we known each other for a very long time

No AlexHoovers94 you haven't dissapointed me, I'm not homophobic or anything. Infact I admire you both more now. No issue, no problem at all.

To be honest, I realised ages ago many members of VL were gay...one was eyeing up my dads legs as one of his legs got caught in a picture. Talk about embarassment but it was funny when I showed my Dad the Profile Picture of the person who said his legs were hot. You should have seen his face (!)

If I can ask a question...how did people react when you told them that you were gay?

"If I can ask a question...how did people react when you told them that you were gay?"

My friends didn't give a crap, mum and dad were a bit like, "oh...ok"at first, but they don't mind now, dad makes the occasional homophobic "joke", to which I give him looks that could kill.
Honestly "coming out" isn't such a big deal anymore.

I used to hate being gay, thinking I was weird, or different, but now I LOVE and am proud of being gay, it's great, I think it is wonderful to accept who you are.

Hope you liked my "agony aunt" responce.

Alex.

I do have people say I'm gay at School. I'm in Year 10 now & having been called it since Year 7, it dosen't bother me anymore, but I do sometimes look at myself & think 'Am I Gay'?

I mean, I'm not like other boys of my age. I don't have a deep voice, or muscles that make my T-Shirt rip, or have a modern looking hairstyle. I don't like any Sport at all, etc. etc.

However, gay or not, I'm happy being who I am. I'm high spirited, I'm a laugh (apparently, according to others but I don't think so) but I just lack confience & am also apparently Chlaustrophobic (however you spell it).

I am glad that you are happy being who you are. Good for you :)

HI-LOswitch98

that second sentence sounded just like me

Lol, don't worry to much on the cliche steryotypes, everyone is different, for e.g, I am gay, yet I don't act too camp/flamboint and I hate clothes and shoe shopping and I hate pink. I do fit some of the steryotypes, but some straight guys do aswell.
I knew straight a way that you may of been a bit confused with your sexuality, by you asking that question "how did people react?" But there is no rush, don't worry about it to much, you will be what you are...Be it gay, straight or bisexual, follow your heart and don't let others pressure you into something you are not.

Alex.

Its amazing how the kids at school always seem to know. I was at school in the 80's and it was more frowned upon then than it is now, and I got called all kinds of horrible names and bullied as well. Its not nice and during PE, no-one wants you on their team.

On VL you have to think really, how many straight men are going to be obsessed with vacuuming and vacuums, or even any kind of housework? so is it any surprise that many members are in fact gay?

I knew Alexhoovers was gay the second I heard him speaking on his youtube vids. Gay people can often spot other gay people easily.

Although quite how Beerad brought the Gay issue onto a Sebo thread out of the blue I don't know?

Perhaps we ought to start a new thread on who is the cutest Espares/GoVacuums presenter?

Maybe you should Alex...I've heard it's quite a well paid job :)

Madabouthoovers - you're absolutely right about PE lessons, they are horrible. Most Straight Men are probably put off by the fact that doing Vacuuming kills Sperm apparently, but that's the Daily Mail for you, I wouldn't believe anything from them.

Well, I guess you did get a Pink Vax I suppose...not that there is anything wrong with that, we have a Yellow Henry :)

Steve

As much as I agree with you, why wouldn't straight guys like vacuums? I mean, they are like cars in a way, vacs are dirty, greasy, often loud, heavy and are a piece of machineary, what bloke wouldn't want that?

By the way, were you serious about that thred?.......(Thinking face)...LOL!

You see men reviewing Hair Straighteners, Hairdryers, Vacuums etc. & they say that they are reviewing on behalf of the wife or girlfriend. Methinks they have a little secret but I use a Hairdryer & Indeed Straighteners too. Otherwise my thick hair would take ages to dry by itself.

Men who review on Ciao about Vacuum Cleaners (not Nar2 (Sebo_fan) because he's on here anyway) but other Men seem to go into loads of detail about the Vacuum their reviewing (e.g mentioning All Accessories & where they bought it from). I thought a Man writing an op on a Vacuum would just say this:

'This is a very good hoover, does the job in a few minutes so prevents the wife from nagging me to do the hoovering'. I have actually seen reviews that say that too!

But to be honest any guy who uses Hair Straighteners to me shows that they have an interest in how they present themselves.

Straight Men that use hair straighteners are Metrosexual, the hip and trendy man about town in touch with his feminine side I suppose. I used them myself when I had longer hair, but now I cant be bothered with it all the time and cut it short on top. Been there and done the hair stuff - at least I've still got it at 41 (My hair that is).

(Most) Straight men usually think that hoovering in poncey and a woman's job, and they wouldn't even know how to use a modern vac. My father hardly ever does the hovering and leaves it to my mother, but then moans at her when she uses the vac with a full bin, as she's not very hoover savvy.

Am I serious about you being gay Alexhoovers?

The first vid I saw of yours was of the differences between 2 henrys, and just in the way you were talking I knew straight away. The tone and sound of the voice gives you away.

Alexhoovers in action:

Oh god, steve....

My early videos are beyond terrible anyway, especially THAT one, infact, that was the first video I made which I spoke in...I was nervous and..Just URGH!
I don't think I sound quite as camp in my newer ones, don't get me wrong I am camp but not full on camp like some gay guys, although, I am guilty of having my moments, but mainly around girls!

Parwaz786 I have had a SEBO Felix 6 years and had no issues. I brought it at the time I had quite a few Dyson vacuums as I was a Dyson Fan (still love seeing what they come up with next!). Since owning the Felix along side my DC07 and DC15 at the beginning I found the Felix groomed the carpet pile better. Since then I don't own a Dyson anymore and don't miss emptying the bin and washing filters.

The only negative I have about the Felix is the short hose like mentioned above but I since purchased the extension hose! Plus I've also got a Miele S7 now along side the felix thought I'd try that!! I don't see me anytime soon having another full size Dyson! Plus the Felix is easy to use and maintain!

Wooooaahhh this got very gay all of a sudden. All the homo's in the house say "hhheeeyyyyy girl!" LOL !!

Yes, I'm also gay. I told my folks when I was 17 and luckily never faced a negative reaction. Infact, I often find that people really don't care either ways as my sexuality makes no difference to them at all. It's also not a reflection on who I am as a person either - in my experience, an a$$hole is still an a$$hole regardless of if their gay, straight or somewhere in between.

Naturally, neither me or Alex are particularly camp, but we like camp humour (think Carry On-esque innuendo etc) so when we're together, we can REALLY camp it up. We'd make a right pair of drag queens.

Anyway, back on topic....[this post was last edited: 10/27/2013-04:57]
