I don't blame you for keeping at least one set of glass bowls. Fire King is some nice stuff!
I have a few pieces of Fire King (very few). Really, just pieces that, like the chrome Mixmaster, were like pieces that I remembered from childhood.
One thing I found strange when I was looking for my correct stainless bowls, was how many of them listed looked burned on the underside; where the logo is. It looked like people had tried to cook in them on the stovetop. And sellers still wanted top dollar for them!
Glad you were able to find a set to make your mixer "correct"!

Thanks for your response. I actually remedied the bowl to paddle clearance problem by fitting a couple stainless steel washers on to the bowl pins. That raised the bowl to what I needed for better contact.I saw how a factory trained KA tech made the adjustment. They used to hit the top of the paddle with a rubber mallet, seemed barbaric to me so I did as mentioned and haven't looked back since 1991!Nothing beats smaller amounts of butter/sugar better than the Sunbeams,IMO. @Gary: Old Suck asked the question I forgot to ask. Will you be using this NIB Sunbeam, given that you have similar already in use? I'm guessing no! @edgar: That's so weird it seems, to find the bottom of the mixing bowls with evidence of having been used as pots for cooking! Although, as we've all seen with vacuum cleaners etc,some people just abuse the heck out of their appliances. I can just see some kid,"stoner", left home alone for the weekend , looking for something to reheat some mac n cheese mom left in the fridge!
 
I agree. Sometimes the KA is over kill for some of the smaller jobs. The Mixmaster does handle those better in IMO as well. Or a hand mixer.

I use commercial grade wire whisks a lot in the kitchen too.

I have found that with boxed Angel Food cake mix I like the way the Mixmaster handles that job over the KA. Some day I will get ambitious and make an Angel food cake from scratch.

Love Angelfood cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

My grandmother was the only person in our family to make angel food cake from scratch! She also made just for me when I stayed for a week in summer, Strawberry Rhubarb Tapioca pudding!She had a chrome Sunbeam model 12 with the metal bowls. Actually I have it now. Model 12 had a 10 year run and was the last of the "old guard" before they came out with MMA,MMB,I-80 and others up to present.Gram used to bake her own shortcakes for berries, I cheat sometimes and just use waffle squares that I freeze up and toast later.
 
Update...

I just pulled my two Mixmasters out of the cabinet and examined the two sets of glass bowls. One set bears the Sunbeam and FireKing logos while the other is actually a newer set with no markings but is otherwise identical to the FireKing set. Both have spouts and textured bottoms. I'm keeping the FireKing bowls and will be listing the unbranded pair for sale.

Also, glad you're keeping the Fire King. I've been feeling nostalgic for that brand after missing out on some Peach Lustre bowls at a thrift store a few weeks back.
I treated myself to a few coffee cups that are just like the ones my parents had when I was a tyke.
Just seeing my morning coffee in one brings back some fond memories. First coffee I ever tasted was stealing the last sip out of Dad's Fire King cup after it had gone cold.

I only have the white cups, and a couple of bowls. Plus, I do have a few Peach Lustre pieces.
I really don't collect Fire King, or I'd probably be wanting that Jadite set! I think that's a desirable color among collectors. There needs to be a site similar to this one, for collectors of Fire King, Pyrex, etc.
I know those collectors are just as passionate/obsessive about their collections as any of us are! But I did some poking around, just to see if I could get some questions answered, and I can't seem to find any such resource.
I chuckled when I read your post saying that you don't really need it.
We're people who own dozens, or even hundreds of items; sometimes multiples of the same item.
Most of us screamed past the exit ramp for "need" at about 90 mph!
Please don't take that the wrong way. I know what you mean. I just found humor in the fact that you chose the word "need". 😉

I had an egg custard colored 2 qt. Fire King baking dish with lid until a couple of weeks ago. I had pulled it out of the cabinet to use. It was sitting on my lap while I was putting a few things back and slid off, shattering on the floor from a fall of maybe four inches. Thankfully, I didn't get cut. For some perverse reason, I saved the undamaged lid.

That's a shame.
I would have kept the lid too. You never know. You could find the same bowl at a thrift store or something, minus its lid, and you'll be all set!
