OH MY!!!

I have the Nilfisk, but other than the Singer have never even heard of the others! Wish some of those could be found here!

9000

the excelsior 9000 is rare over here to. these are dutch cleaners, and had later on a small resemble with electrolux. it would be grate to find one even over here.

Kenwood

We had a version of the 8020 here badged as a Kenwood, although perhaps an earlier version as the floor nozzle is different, and it has a braided hose. It sounds just like an Electrolux. It has the same unusual "ball" hose connector. I knew it was of Dutch origin, but good to see its "parantage"

I will post some pictures later

just done a repair..

on a Nilfisk very similar to that for someone at work. It turned out that the carbon brushes were worn/burned up but the motor was a sealed unit and the brushes didn't apprear to be available as a separate part. The machine had probably seen considerable use; anyway I managed to file down some suitable carbons off something else and solder on the leads through the brush springs. After some persistance shaping them and scratching the commutator surface through the brush guides, it worked a treat!

Wooooow! More brochure anyone? LOL...

Nice brochures Edgar, love the design of the old Excelsiors, I have a couple of Tornados that looks exatly to the Signal 8120 and the red&black one shown on the last page, just some very little differences.
I never know about the nilfisk PN, very cool!
