I got the brushroll from (repairman) Mike

The original felt bearings were shot and it needed to be rebristled

Pic 1 is from Mike's thread how the brushroll looked when he got it
Pic 2 is of the original felt bearings
Pic 3 is the felt bearings I made for the brushroll
Pic 4 is the brushroll cleaned up and ready to be rebristled
Pic 5 is the rebristled brushroll before trimming and axel rod
Pic 6 is the finished brushroll after trimming

Isn't it amazing what you can find at a hardware store that works as a felt bearing

Went through owners manuals and patents, figured out that the brushroll is from a Hoover 105.

The Hoover 102 had wood bearings in the brushroll
The Hoover 105 had felt bearings in the brushroll
The Hoover 541 had ball bearings in the brushroll
