I was surfing the net and I came across this instruction guide. I am really curious, could this Sanitaire instruction guide be from the 70s or 80s? I know Sanitaire revised many of them. This is from a Sanitaire SC899.

It would date to at least 1983-84 as that was when the SC899 was first introduced, to replace the prior model SC699 wide-track originally introduced in 1978.

That is cool! Also, do those 1980s Sanitaires also have 7 amp motors? I have a Eureka Commercial Vacuum from 1974 with a 3.5 amp motor. Were 3.5 amps still used in the 1980s?

By 1984, many top-dollar Sanitaires used the 6.5 amp (12") or 6.7 amp (wide track) motor. This one would have the 6.7 amp motor.
The low-line Sanitaire and Eureka commercials (models SC679 and C2037 respectively) had then used 4 amp motors.
